Vagabond

Vagabond is a psychological thriller, about Vincent, a paranoid young man desperate to make his parents proud by studying in the US. But while traveling, he is told his passport comes from a country that doesn’t exist.

Vagabond was my first true challenge of Producing. No more training wheels, hands free. This short is a high concept thesis film from SCAD directed by JC Andreu. A story formed off of his own fears as a foreigner in America. Over the process of 8 months, we banded together 40+ students to create this short. One of the most fulfilling reflections was having been able to shoot both on a sound stage and real locations. Augusta Regional Airport was more than accommodating to our crew and made it a pleasure to film there. With a security plan and detailed schedule, we were able to shoot on the Tarmac, Terminal and our own variation of border control.

Since its completion, Vagabond has screened at over 20 film festivals and had its online premiere on DUST. I was recognized at the IndieX Film Festival with the Outstanding Achievement Award in Producing in 2022, as well as a runner up at the Toronto Women’s International Film Festival.
