Hi, I’m Julia. Welcome to my page!
I’m a 22-year-old filmmaker from sunny South Florida with a passion for exploration and documenting everything. My first dive into film started in my childhood with stop-motion videos telling stories with my dolls and legos and I have since climbed to award-winning short-format media. I graduated with a BFA in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2023 and started my career with 3 short films in the festival circuit. During my studies, I worked with esteemed brands and companies like Coca-Cola and Killer Films while learning the art of producing.
My specialty falls to producing but I have experience in all realms of production to keep my skills sharp and better understand the projects I lead. In the Spring of 2024 I won the Best Non-Fiction Long Form South East Student Production Award for my Thesis documentary “Will You Remember Me?”. The documentary has also been shown at festivals like Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Boston Independent Film Festival.
Since graduating, I became a digital nomad as a remote video editor, allowing me to travel and work. After a year, I joined Wavelength Images in Jupiter, Florida as an Account Manager and Creative. I saw this as an opportunity to impact the community I grew up in with the skillset I’ve grown in. My dream is to use my work to explore the social and environmental stories that form our world.
